GSK Australia announced it has received a grant through the federal government’s Manufacturing Transition Program worth AUD $1 million. Funding will support GSK’s advanced manufacturing expansion plans at its Boronia site, which focus on new product development using Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) technology.
Dave Morley, Site Director Boronia, GSK Australia, said the grant would allow GSK technical experts in Boronia to continue to enhance BFS technologies and applications, furthering GSK’s position as a leading manufacturer of sterile liquid pharmaceutical products.
“This grant will enable GSK to continue exploring the development of cost-efficient medicines that will not only benefit patients, but also help support the Australian manufacturing sector,” Morley said.
