Mettler-Toledo Safeline, a leader in metal detection and x-ray inspection equipment, introduces the Tablex MC a Safeline Tablex metal detector with a mini conveyor for the inspection of pharmaceutical tablets and capsules.
The Tablex MC identifies all types of metal contamination from worn punches, dies or raw materials and removes the contaminated tablets and capsules. The diverter style reject is able to handle large volumes of tablets without danger of blockage or tablet damage and boasts quick removal for ease of cleaning.
The flexible Tablex MC utilizes Safelines unique three-axis detection head that features no-tool adjustment to fit any press output configuration. Its compact material handling design allows the system to accept tablets directly from the tablet press outlet and convey them through the metal detector without any compromise in sensitivity over traditional gravity slide systems. The fully adjustable conveyor infeed and outfeed heights allow the option to eliminate a deduster or vacuum system to lift tablets up to the catch bin. Contaminated product is rejected into a separate bin for analysis and disposal.
The system has a clear, full length lexan cover for product sanitation and a stainless steel mirror finish that is designed to exceed strict FDA sanitation requirements.
