Biotest introduces the APC M3, a portable airborne particle counter that samples at a rate of 100 LPM (liters per minute), according to the company.
Pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers are required to monitor air quality ISO Class 5 to ISO Class 7 environments. To measure the particulate contamination of one cubic meter of air, a conventional (28.3 LPM) counter takes 35 minutes and a 50 LPM unit takes 20 minutes, whereas the APC M3 requires only 10 minutes. The APC M3s higher flow rate reduces sample intake time by as much as 70%, thus curbing labor costs as well.
