Top MD Anderson Cancer Center exec Stephen Hahn has emerged as the frontrunner to be the next FDA commissioner following a meeting with President Donald Trump, reported POLITICO.
Hahn, a radiation oncologist and chief medical executive at MD Anderson in Houston, is said to be in line to be nominated to head the agency within the next several weeks as the November 1 nomination deadline looms.
Hahn had been considered alongside acting FDA chief Ned Sharpless and Harvard professor Alexa Boer Kimball.
