The China Food and Drug Administration suspended imports of U.S. drugmaker Pfizer Inc's Diflucan on Tuesday, citing a problem with late paperwork.
According to China's FDA, Pfizer's France-based factories failed to submit a supplementary application on time.
Diflucan is used to treat and prevent fungal infection in people with weak immune systems caused by cancer treatment, bone marrow transplant, or diseases such as AIDS.
Pfizer has taken steps to resolve the issue and is working with China's FDA to ensure its products comply with Chinese law.
