Swedish CDMO, Recipharm, has struck a deal with Sanofi to buy the French drugmaker’s contract inhalation drug business and plant in the U.K.
Sanofi's Holmes Chapel manufacturing facility is a leading contract manufacturing site in Europe and is home to a team of more than 450 specialist employees. All employees will automatically transfer to Recipharm.
Recipharm will pay about £45 million ($60.2 million) for the 125,000-square meter site near Manchester.
