    China Executes Former SFDA Chief

    With somewhat alarming speed, China executed Zheng Ziaoyu, the former head of its SFDA, yesterday.  I thought that the appeal process would take much longer than it did, and that the sentence would be commuted to life in prison but, apparently not, given the current political climate.
